Notre Dame Jr/Sr High School had an amazing week celebrating our choice to attend a Catholic school! Below is an excerpt from the ND Weekly News- a Friday publications sent to parents of current students, as well as some photos from our week:
As Catholic Schools Week comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude for all we shared as a school community this week. No doubt about it, our academics are important, but it is special days like this one, that remind me of the value in taking a break from the usual.
Throughout this week, our students participated in meaningful experiences that strengthened their faith and deepened their connection with one another. Class retreats provided moments for reflection and spiritual growth, while our schoolwide prayer service at the start of the week and Mass at the end of the week, brought us together in worship and thanksgiving for the opportunity to attend Notre Dame.
It was truly inspiring to witness our students living out the values we are working so hard to instill at Notre Dame. This unique activity day allowed students in all grade levels to interact with each other. Each time I saw a student help another up off the ice or watched as students cheered each other on in our gym, I was reminded that these are the days we build community, comradery, and character.
I am so grateful for the dedicated teachers and staff of Notre Dame who continue to go above and beyond for our students. Thank you to everyone (pictured and not!) who make every day a special one at Notre Dame!
Finally, thank you to our parents who made the choice to send your children to Notre Dame Jr/Sr High School. May we carry the spirit of Catholic Schools Week forward, continuing to grow in faith, knowledge, and love.
