Community
Surrounded by rural communities, Batavia is a small city in Genesee
County, in western New York State. It is also home to Genesee
Community College, giving Notre Dame’s students the opportunity to take
college level courses while in high school as well as to attend college
while living at home.
Notre Dame High School
Notre Dame High School was founded in 1951 as the first Catholic
secondary school in the Genesee region. Today, Notre Dame is a
Catholic high school of 185 students, grades 9 – 12. 86% of
professional staff have Masters Degrees. Students from Batavia
and surrounding communities in Genesee, Orleans, Erie, Livingston,
Monroe, and Wyoming counties comprise a student body that is 85%
Catholic.

Calendar
School is in session for 40 weeks, divided into two semesters, with
grades reported quarterly. The school day consists of ten
40-minute periods.
Testing Data
All students are encouraged to take SAT and/or ACT exams. All
juniors and sophomores take the PSAT.
