If you would like to use the following web-based software, you will need to create an account for each program.  Files created can be saved in several formats, including .pdf files and those compatible with Microsoft Office.

Google Docs (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation)

Zoho (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, notes, planner/organizer, plus more)(can export Open Office items as Word items - just export as .doc)

gliffy.com (diagramming program - flowcharts, floor plans, etc.)

mindomo  (mind mapping)

Think Free (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation)

Acrobat.com  (includes "Create PDF", "Adobe Buzzword" - create documents, "My Files" - online file storage, "Adobe Connect Now" - meet online and share screen)

You do not need an account to use the following programs.  You can print, e-mail or save the items.

Discovery School's Puzzlemaker (word searches and other word games)

ArmoredPenguin.com (word searches, crosswords, word scrambles, etc.)

Create A Graph - National Center for Education Statistics (graphs)

picnik (photo-editing) crop, resize, fix exposure and add cool effects

typingweb (typing tutor) an account isn't necessary, but you can create an account to track your progress

The following are open source software.  You can download them to your computer for free.

gimp (photo retouching - like Photoshop)

Blender (3-D design and animation)
